Skellig Michael

Skellig Michael is known all over the world of archaeology as a well-preserved monastic settlement of the Early Christian period – now designated a World Heritage Site; Small Skellig is also renowned in matters of ornithology as the home of some 30,000 pairs of gannets – the second largest colony in the world.
